2008 Information

What are the different squads?
Football
Flag - 5 and 6 years old
Pee Wee - 7and 8 years old (9 years old if 60 pounds or lighter)
Super Midget - 9 and 10 years old (11 years old if 85 pounds or lighter)
Midget - 11 and 12 years old (13 years old if 110 pounds or lighter)
Varsity - 12, 13 and 14 years old
Football league age is the child's actual age on July 31, 2008


Cheerleading
Mighty Mite - 5 and 6 years old
Pee Wee - 7 and 8 years old
Super Midget - 9 and 10 years old
Midget - 11 and 12 years old
Varsity - 13 and 14 years old
Cheerleader league age is the child's actual age on September 1, 2008


How much does it cost?
Football Player is $260 (Flag $160) and Cheerleader is $295 (Mighty Mite $240) which includes a $20 refundable TBYFL Concession fee listed below. You may split the registration fee into two payments with half due at the time of registration and the balance due on or before June 1, 2008.  If the registration fee is not paid in full by June 1, 2008 then your child may be removed from the team.  If you need to work out weekly payment plans to extend after June 1, a $20 administration fee will be added to the balance due. 

A $20 TBYFL Concession fee per child has been included in each football and cheerleading fee. The $20 fee will be REFUNDED if you work a full two hour shift for each registered child at the Bills TBYFL concession stand day. The date of our duty will be determined later in the year.

What do I need to bring to registration?
If the player or cheerleader did not cheer with the Bills last year, you will need to have TWO (2) copies of their birth certificate which we must keep. You will also be required to fill out a few forms and pay the registration amount at the time of registration.

Football players will need to purchase the following additional items:
- practice football pants
- practice socks (game socks will be provided)
- girdle to hold hip and butt pads
- cleats
- jock strap or cup
- t-shirt to wear under the shoulder pads

Cheerleaders registration fees include a package that has the following items:
- shoes
- socks
- hair ribbon/bow
- bloomers
- practice shorts
- practice shirt
- Logo bag

How many positions are open on each squad?
Generally there are some openings on each squad for both Football and Cheerleading. The hardest groups to get into for Football and Cheerleading is the Pee Wee and Super Midget team which usually only has a couple of openings each year.

What if we decide not to participate after we have registered?

- If you quit* before July 21, 2008 your refund will be 50% of what you have paid to date.
- If you quit* on or after July 21, 2008 there is no refund.

* The date you return all of the equipment and/or uniform(s) is the “quit” date that the refund will take effect according to the refund policy above.

Where do the Bills practice?
Practice is held at the Keystone Recreation Center located at 17928 Gunn Hwy. in  Odessa, FL.

When is practice?
Starting on July 21, we will practice Monday thru Saturday for the first four weeks. Starting on August 18, practice will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. Weekday practices are from 6:15 - 8:15 pm and Saturday practices are usually in the morning. The only time we will change the regular practice days and times are in case of make-up practices, holidays, or special situations.

When and where are the games played at?
All games are scheduled on Saturday's (flag/mighty mite games on Wednesdays).  Most games are played at Skyway Park which is at the end of the Veterans Expressway off of Memorial Hwy. next to Rocky Point Golf Course. We may play some games at Oldsmar or Progress Village during the 11 game regular season.
